The law of multiple proportions states that when two elements combine to form more than one compound, the ratios of the masses of one element that combine with a fixed mass of the other element can be expressed in small whole numbers. This law helps to explain the existence of different compounds formed by the same elements. The law of constant proportions, on the other hand, states that a pure compound always contains the same elements in the same proportion by mass, regardless of the source or method of preparation. This law emphasizes the consistent composition of compounds, which is a fundamental principle of chemistry. **

Proportions in drawing refer to the relative size, scale, and placement of different elements within a composition. It involves accurately representing the relationships between different parts of an object or figure to create a realistic and balanced depiction.
